jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements. Negotiation with the AHJ can result
in more efficient, less intrusive fire protection features than
those produced by prescriptive code requirements alone.

Cost effective actions for compliance with code requirements. Negotiate code requirement
alternatives with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to provide
acceptable risk management conditions that are acceptable to the
AHJs. Provide protection that may be less disruptive to
operations.
